Queen Latifah Live at the
Hartford Jai-Lai March 1990
These pix were taken at one of those rap shows where 4 or 5 acts are expected to
perform and only 2 hit the stage. Queen Latifah came on after a couple of local acts
warmed the crowd. After about 3 songs (circa Ladies' First) a fight broke out about 5 rows
behind me. The Queen left the stage and the audience was asked to disperse. Third Base and
Digital Underground were also scheduled to perform .
I read later in the local newspaper that the other acts did not go out because MONEY
hadn't arrived yet!
